Invoice Finance

Invoice finance lets you borrow against your unpaid invoices. Instead of waiting 30, 60 or 90 days for customers to pay, you can release up to 90% of an invoice’s value straight away — and the rest (minus fees) when your customer pays.

How it works

From application to funded.

  1. 01

    Raise your invoice

You invoice your business customer as normal.

  2. 02

    Release the cash

The finance provider advances a large share of the invoice value — often within days of setup.

  3. 03

    Your customer pays

Depending on the product, your customer pays the provider (factoring) or pays you as normal (discounting).

  4. 04

    Receive the balance

Once the invoice is paid, you receive the remaining balance minus the agreed fees.

Is it right for you?

An honest fit check.

Ideal for

  • B2B businesses with 30–90 day payment terms
  • Growing companies whose cash is tied up in invoices
  • Recruitment, manufacturing, wholesale, logistics and services
  • Businesses wanting funding that grows with their sales

Consider an alternative if

  • If you sell mainly to consumers or by card, look at a merchant cash advance
  • If you need a one-off lump sum for a project, a term loan may be simpler
Transparent pricing

What it costs — explained.

No hidden extras. Every cost is shown in your offer before you sign anything.

Service fee
A fee for managing the facility, usually a percentage of turnover or a fixed monthly amount.
Discount charge
Similar to interest — charged on the money you’ve drawn, only for as long as it’s outstanding.
Factoring vs discounting
Factoring includes credit control (the provider chases payment); discounting is confidential and you collect as normal. We’ll explain which suits you.
Broker fee
None. We may receive a commission from the provider, which never changes the terms you’re offered.
The assessment

What lenders look at.

  • The quality and creditworthiness of your customers
  • Your invoicing volumes and payment terms
  • Your sales ledger and aged debtor reports
  • How long you’ve been trading

Questions

Invoice Finance, answered.

More questions? See how CP0 works or call 0333 344 2326.

Will my customers know?

With invoice discounting, usually not — it’s confidential. With factoring, the provider manages collections so your customers will be aware.

How much can I release?

Commonly up to 90% of an invoice’s value upfront, depending on the provider and your customers.

Is it a loan?

It’s an advance against money you’re already owed, which is why it can grow with your sales instead of adding long-term debt.
